2024 Innovate New Mexico Technology Showcase

The 2024 Innovate New Mexico® Technology Showcase brought together the leading research institutions in the state to highlight their latest research and technology advancements. There were over 135 attendees which included investors, entrepreneurs, industry reps, local start-up companies, and local business members.

The showcase, which took place March 5th at the Sandia Event Center in Albuquerque, included ten technology pitch presentations, keynote speaker Doug Campbell, a lunchtime panel with local company CEOs, and breaks throughout for networking opportunities.

Keynote Speaker: Doug Campbell

Doug Campbell is a seasoned entrepreneur having guided multiple startups from inception through exit. This includes Solid Power (NASDAQ: SLDP), a University of Colorado spin-out developing next-gen rechargeable batteries for the EV market and Roccor (now Redwire Space; NYSE: RDW) a component supplier into the low-earth-orbit satellite market.

Doug has been named Most Admired CEO by the Denver Business Journal, Cleantech Innovator of the Year by the Colorado Cleantech Industry Association and Distinguished Alumni by the University of New Mexico’s School of Engineering (BS ’01, MS ’02). Doug returned to his hometown of Albuquerque in 2023 following a 20-year absence and is now an active investor in the Colorado and New Mexico startup ecosystems and serves on multiple non-profit and for-profit Boards including the University of New Mexico Foundation, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory Foundation, and several private companies.

Filtravate - High-Performance Ultrafiltration Membranes for Bioprocesses.  By building membranes from the ground up using the smallest building blocks, Filtravate’s membranes have controlled and tunable pore size, even pore distribution, and functionalized surfaces. Sandia National Laboratories is dedicated to increasing partnership and technology transfer activities in support of our mission. Sandoval Economic Alliance (SEA) is a private, not-for-profit economic development corporation established to strengthen and diversify the economic base of Sandoval County, including the municipalities of Bernalillo, Corrales, Cuba, Jemez Springs, and Rio Rancho, along with the nine Native American pueblos, three Navajo Chapters, and part of the Jicarilla Apache Reservation.
